At Empower Youth Latinx, we are dedicated to uplifting and inspiring the next generation of Latinx leaders. Our programs provide a dynamic space for young people to explore their cultural identity, develop leadership skills, and build confidence through mentorship, community engagement, and creative expression
The Jóvenes Leyendo Juntos program builds Spanish literacy for children from Spanish-speaking families while fostering mentorship and leadership among EYL youth. Through weekly lessons and tutoring sessions, older youth support younger children in developing bilingual reading and writing skills in a joyful and culturally affirming environment. This program strengthens intergenerational bonds and encourages a lifelong appreciation for bilingualism and literacy. By serving as mentors, EYL youth also deepen their own commitment to education and become agents of positive change in their communities.
The Jóvenes con Visión program helps youth identify their talents, connect with mentors, and access academic support to prepare for their future. Through community engagement, apprenticeships, and educational guidance, participants develop skills that align with their aspirations. The program fosters a strong support system by collaborating with families and community members, ensuring youth feel encouraged in their journey. By nurturing a love of learning and a sense of purpose, Jóvenes con Visión empowers youth to pursue meaningful, prosperous lives while giving back to their communities.
